This rare and elegant Chinese green tea is known as Phoenix Eyes (龙眼), named for the shape of its tightly rolled leaves that resemble the mythical phoenix’s eye. Carefully handcrafted in Fujian province (福建省), this tea is made from the youngest tender green tea leaves and silvery buds, which are expertly rolled into distinctive pearl shapes.
When infused, the leaves slowly unfurl, releasing a smooth, mellow liquor with sweet vegetal notes and a subtle mineral finish. Its delicate flavour and craftsmanship make it a prized example of China’s traditional green tea artistry.
