Renowned for its vegetal aromas and refreshing flavours, these aromatic Chinese Sencha leaves give the dewy freshness of a bright spring morning and a slightly savoury smoothness, all in a mellow liquor with a note of seaweed, imparting a soothing effect on the palate.

Sencha translates to "steamed" and is a traditional technique for preserving the flavour of the tea, as well as retaining high levels of vitamins and antioxidants, for a quintessential cup of green tea.

Brilliant Mao Feng.

Mao Feng and Dragon Well are my favourite Chinese green teas.
The China Teapot Mao Feng is of very good quality.
Pure pleasure to drink it on a hot day.
I am hopelessly western style tea lover, so I use double walled glasses and a good size tea strainer.
8g, 3 min 1st cup and 4 min 2nd cup.
Where I deviated from The China Teapot's suggestion is water temperature. I always steep Chinese green tea at 75°C.

As a bonus, it is the spotless The China Teapot's service. Very well packed and sent on time. From now on it is my favourite Chinese tea online retailer.

Thank you so much for your kind words and for choosing our Huangshan Maofeng (Pre-Rain) tea. We are thrilled to hear that we have become your favourite supplier of Chinese green teas.

Perfect cup of tea

I loved this green tea. Tastes so much better than the green tea you buy from shops. With every sip you know you're drinking something really pure and healthy.
