Fêted as the ‘Tea of the Emperor’, Lung Ching tea (龙井茶), translated literally as Dragon Well, pronounced 'Long Jing' in Chinese; is a supreme pan-roasted green tea from Longjing Village (龙井村) in Hangzhou (杭州), Zhejiang Province(浙江省) of China.

These lustrous leaves are hand roasted early in processing (after picking) to stop the natural oxidation process early, this imparts an alluring quality which infuses to offer a satisfyingly brisk brew that is well-balanced between subtlety of umami sugariness and depth of herbaceous undertone of a grassy meadow.

Thanks to its unique characteristics of distinctive emerald-green flat leaves, a delicate inviting aroma, and a mellow finish with an unmistakably sweet lingering sensation, this Long Jing tea is well regarded amongst the green tea lovers and ranks as the finest amongst the ten most famous Chinese teas.
