This delicious Lapsang Souchong 正山小種松香 smoked black tea is a fine yield with the smoke of high-quality Chinese pinewood. La Sang is a Fuzhou dialect; "La" means pine, and "Sang" means wood, which refers to smoked tea made over pine wood. This Lapsang prides itself on a delightful black tea flavour with a subtle smokiness.

An unmistakable, full-bodied black tea to start your day, a pleasantly subtle yet sophisticated brew to enjoy throughout the day, and a fantastic pick-me-up, the perfect cup next to your screen in the home office.

Love this tea

This is one of my favourite teas. It is hard to describe as it is very complex in flavour: sometimes I taste something like roast nuts, and sometimes even strong coffee! If someone gave me a cup I would not identify it as being like Lapsang Souchong at all. It does have a slight smokiness which is not overpowering. It is quite strong so it's best not to use too much at a time, as it can then verge on being bitter or "rasping".
I have dropped a star because I find it varies in flavour a lot even in the same batch but I still reccommend it.

Thank you for the review. We agree, it’s a complex flavour. We like this after a meal.
